This week was another hopping night at WOB Plano! This Saturday, June 27, is the Grand Opening, with all manner of events planned for the day. From 11 to 5, they'll be opening kegs on the hour, have a photo booth open, a grill on the patio, and live music from three different bands. Don' t miss the chance to celebrate with the WOB team.

Tonight's games were hard-fought and nail-biting. We had a dozen teams on deck for Game 1, with some familiar teams coming back to test their wits. The high point of the first game was a three way tie at the end of the game. Remember when I said our questions are hard? Well, the tie breaker went FIVE rounds with no team gaining leverage to break the tie! It finally came down to a "closest to the number" question about the life expectancy of the residents of Monaco. Team That Team (the trivia equivalent of "that guy" ?) took home the prize.

Game 2 was equally feisty, with stretches into Geekdom, Politics, and Science. The game changing question was near and dear to your's truly, focusing on the winners of the Triple Crown. With the historic Belmont Stakes this year and the amazing win by American Pharaoh, many minds were tuned in to the famous races, and the exclusive club of horses that hold the crown was the answer that decided the game. This time, a scratch team for the veteran I'm Big in 1/4" Scale took the prize, followed closely by That Team, the Game 1 winners.
