I didn't figure it would take long, but I certainly didn't anticipate it would happen this quick. In only our second week at Hooligans, we already have a rivalry. One of our regular teams, William Shatnerface has decided they would like Hooligans to be their new stomping grounds, and they walked in thinking they would dominate every challenger for weeks on end. Enter a fresh set of faces... Team OU812 showed up for our kick-off show last week and immediately decided to challenge the self-appointed crown of William Shatnerface. Though they came up just short last week, they showed up this past Tuesday with a certain fire in their eyes. 

The stage was set for an epid trivia battle, and the night certainly did not disappoint. Though the questions seemed unusually tough, it added an extra element to the game. For game one, William Shatnerface going by the team name, Congrats on 4 years sobriety, Amy Winehouse! stormed out to an early lead and never looked back. They won the opening stanza with ease.

However, moving into the Power Hour, OU812 regrouped and regained focus for the fight to the finish. Despite a setback in Round 2, OU812 rebounded nicely and dominated the final round, complimented by a perfect score on the Kitchen Timer question....they apparently know their Scrabble. When the dust settled, OU812 had just edged Callahan Auto Parts (William Shatnerface) to unseat the defending champions. 

It was an intimate setting, but an epic night for trivia. Congratulations to all the teams. Now, don't forget, the competition at Hooligans is only going to get more difficult, so bring your friends to maximize your chances of winning. Don't forget to follow the PubGuys on all the major social networking sites for hints and bonus point opportunities.
