The air crackled with anticipation at Cowtown Brewing Co. as teams packed into the brewery, eager for an evening of intellectual battle under the guidance of the one and only Angry Irishman. With not a single seat left unoccupied, it was clear that this would be a night to remember, with two intense games of trivia awaiting the participants.
Game 1:
Game one kicked off with a bang, as Jersey! stormed into an early lead with an impressive 14 points, closely pursued by the formidable 2 & 1/2 Men hot on their heels with 13 points. As the rounds progressed, tension mounted as Beer Pressure, Blame it on Mexico, A Drinking Team with a Trivia Problem, and QAR Dawgs all vied for supremacy, each within striking distance of the top spot.
But as the final round approached, the leaderboard underwent a dramatic shake-up. Jersey! stumbled, taking only 2 points and finding themselves shocked and tied for third place with Blame it on Mexico. Meanwhile, Hot Tequila seized their moment, delivering a stunning performance with 11 points in the final round, catapulting them to first place and leaving everyone in disbelief. Beer Pressure also made a late surge, securing second place with 8 points, overtaking Jersey! in the process. The game concluded in a whirlwind of excitement, with Hot Tequila emerging as the unexpected victors of game one.

Game 2:
As game two commenced, the atmosphere crackled with anticipation following the thrilling conclusion of the first round. With the memory of Hot Tequila's surprise victory fresh in their minds, teams were determined not to be caught off guard again. Hot Tequila maintained their momentum, but were joined at the top by Peasant Workers, both teams tied at 14 points. However, 2 & 1/2 Men, Jerk Store, and Blame it on Mexico were close behind, refusing to let the leaders run away with the game.
In a nail-biting final round, 2 & 1/2 Men stunned the competition by racking up 9 points, putting them in prime position to claim victory. Meanwhile, Hot Tequila faltered, managing only 4 points and seeing their hopes of a repeat victory dashed. No Folk and Chance made a late surge, but ultimately fell short, finishing in fourth place. A Drinking Team with a Trivia Problem and Jerk Store rounded out the top five teams, each putting up a valiant effort.
In a display of sportsmanship and humility, Peasant Workers graciously conceded first place to 2 & 1/2 Men, as they were unable to accept the prize due to being Cowtown employees. With a single point separating them from victory, 2 & 1/2 Men emerged triumphant, securing a hard-fought win over Hot Tequila and solidifying their status as champions of game two.

As the night ended, exhausted but exhilarated teams reflected on the intense competition they had just experienced. Trivia night at Cowtown Brewing Co. had delivered on its promise of excitement, surprises, and fierce competition, leaving participants already eager for the next opportunity to test their wits under the guidance of The Angry Irishman.
A huge shout out to Christiana, Patty, and Max for taking care of the Teams tonight. You all keep the beers full; the food is delivered hot, and you make my life easier as I host Trivia.
