You go away for one week and all hell breaks loose. Not seriously, but it sure seems like it. I set off as a globetrotter, only to come back and find that fellow PubGuy, Terrill has sabotaged my gig. Not only did he use the write-up last week as an opportunity to throw a barb at my beloved alma mater, but he also made sure that each of my regular teams would come and give me a hard time about it. Thanks buddy.
After the bonus points were begrudgingly awarded for pointing out Texas Tech's inability to beat those buttheads from Austin, it was time to play some trivia. This set proved to be quite challenging for most as indicated by the scores. Game one saw the new team of Nine Deep! go deep into their knowledge banks to pull out a win. Coming in second place was My Name is Trey Green, and I'm Not Smart. Clearly that team name was meant to mislead us...
For the Power Hour, Jake From State Farm (normally William Shatnerface) turned it on and stormed into the lead. Not to be outdone, My Name is Trey Green, and I'm Not Smart stepped up to the challenge and the two met in a tiebreaker at the end of the Power Hour to settle the battle for trivia domination. In the end, Jake From State Farm's knowledge of US National Park visitors was too much for the competition and they took home the top prize.
Congratulations to our winners, and don't forget to follow us on the social networking sites for more hints for next week.
And, if you want a bonus point next week, tell me who was the first president of Texas Tech when it was founded.
Cheers!
