After a month-long absence from the old stomping grounds, I have made it back to trivia nights!

Huge shout-out and thanks to Bayley, Manager from Siren Rock, who took over these nights in my absence and did an amazing job. So thankful for her help! 

The amount of love I have felt was enough to power a rocket, thank you to everyone who took the time to welcome me back. We are not going to talk about the multiple demands to never leave again, this is not the time nor the medium for you all to find out you are not my real parents. 

Eleven teams joined efforts tonight to love and hate the game in equal measure. As The DMZ and Beer, Tango, Foxtrot (previously known as JDPB), We Know Nothings, and Quiz in my Pants took their places, we had plenty of new players scattered about. Trash Pandas were a collective of delightful chaos, while Aww She is so Pretty chose violence in shaming one of their team members with their team name. Gigi's Papa's Birthday was celebrating two of their teammates' birthdays, and Smarty Pints showed up after last week's win to try and have the same success.

Needless to say the regular bozos took it upon themselves to not only continue their drinking game every time I say "In fact", but to also remind me how missed I was in that old and noble tradition of trolling my every word. It was as if I was never gone. 

Our first rounds were mostly harmless, although the team who answered "penguin" for

Left me with more questions than it is comfortable.

Yet the very best answer of the night happened during our fifth round, question #4:

What type of alien is the Doctor from Doctor Who?

One of the team's answer Troglodyte, which had me giggling like a middle schooler. Apparently we all actively chose to be salty today. 

The rest of the game had nods to the legend Steve Irvin, made people use their fingers to count the children on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and had a Bonus question that took us around Europe. All in all the night was a high success. 

In closing, The DMZ took the lead by a single point, winning the spoils and bragging rights. Trash Pandas and Beer, Tango, Foxtrot shared second place with 44 points and both earned a flight of beer. Gigi's Papa's Birthday claimed third place with a score of 42, and We know Nothing closed the top 5 with 31 points

Looking forward to next week, gaining momentum once more in the crazy locomotive that has become our trivia nights.
