"Brrrrrrr! Its cold!" Thats what just about everyone said upon arriving at World of Beer - SMU tonight. The crowd was small, but they were there for trivia and nothing was going to stop them! What was great about our small gathering was that everyone got a chance to banter, and get to know each other. Sentimental I know, but great!

Game one was all about the great state of Texas, much to the chagrin of one of the "out of states" teams. I learned from one of the teams that Texas is one of the few states in the country that actually has a "State History" class in its schools. It was proven at the end of the game that Kinematic Allstars and Lone Survivors really had their Texas knowledge down , winning First and Second respectivly.

By the time the Hour of Power was getting underway the weather outside was looking pretty nasty. Was that going to stop the fun? Hell no!!! Lets do this! Now that we had honored Texas it was time to mix it up a little. Music, Science, Geography, Literature, Pop Culture... You name it, we were asking it. Round Two got a little fishy, and we learned that yes indeed, there is trash talking in Chess. In Round Three we discovered that The Walking Dead not only had drama on the screen, but also a little behind the scenes. Kinematic Allstars and Lone Survivors, now named Hot Beer Blows ( you had to be there) did it again for First and Second. 

All in all it was a cold night outside, but the game was hot inside! Thank you so much for coming out and braving the elements! Let's do it again next week!
