When you take great beer specials and combine them with a night of awesome trivia, good things are bound to happen. Things like having so many people come thru the doors that you can barely move, and some are left standing. Was this a problem? Nope! It was fun! I'm beginning to see more and more teams really making an effort to improve their "trivia skills," whether by trying to win more, or just trying to improve there standings week after week. I'm also seeing more people who've never played before really get into it. That makes this host very happy! Now let's explore the happenings of the games, shall we?
During Round One of Game One we enjoyed listening to Babe Ruth sing "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General" from the top of Mount McKinley while skittles rained down from of the geostationary stationary satellite "Rainbow-1." In Round Two it became very clear that our teams had some trouble with MILITARY RANKS. Hopefully this will help. ;) In Round Three we took a stroll down Trivia Lane to discover questions about TV, Pop Culture, Literature, History, and simply General as well. When all was said and done for Game One, Car Ramrod grabbed First Place with a strong lead, and Gin and Jews returned after a bit of an absence to grab Second.
With no time to waste, it was time to jump into the Hour of Power! Round One got a little scary when Karen Silkwood was killed by a giant vat of spilled milk while on her way to meet The Fugitive, Dick Tracy, for a friendly game of Dominoes. In Round Two everyone did really well with their knowledge of INITIALS, but Middle Earth Languages gave most a little trouble. Finally, if our teams follow us on Twitter, they had a much easier time with the questions in Round Three. In the end The Detractors dominated the game to win First, and brand new team, Hot Dog Time Magazine, grabbed Second.
As I said before, the night was crazy fun, and that is thanks to all of you who play with us every week!
