After recovering from a mild illness last week, it was good to be back at WOB to do my favorite trivia game! PubGuys Trivia! It looks like its going to be a perfect night with the weather, and everyone seemed happy about that. Surprisingly only a few teams arrivied early enough for the Sound Check Question. That happens 15 minutes before Game One, and is worth an extra point. Just saying...
Anyway, lets dive into the actual game. Just as 8 o'clock rolled around everyone finally arrived, and we were ready to go. Announcments made, and rules given, it was time for the game. In Round One a Holmes like character investigated the Chernobyl Watergate while Jerry Springer was signed as the Catcher in the Rye. In Round Two we all relived our Sesame Street days with the round being brought to us by the letter "K." In Round Three we learned what sport is divided into chukkas, and we traveled were no man has gone before. (New York) In the end Guidonian Hands showed us again that they are a team to be reckoned with by winning first. Gin and Jews after a few week absence came back tonight to win second.
The Hour of Power saw every team from Game One stick around, and we even added a team. In Round One we saw Iris go run in the Boston Marathon while drinking some Budweiser, and Woody Allen played some Blue Grass with Alison Krauss. In Round Two we were inspired by some pretty super women. In Round Three we poured one out for our homies, and enjoyed some tight compitition to finish up the night. A brand new team to the game, Robby Rob and Chris, took home that coveted $25 gift card, and Guidonian Hands added to their card collection with a second place finish.
Our Survey Questions for the night were a real eye opening view into what our teams like to do when they are alone, and what they like to pour out of bottles.
