Ah, it was good to be back at WOB-SMU for some more PubGuys Trivia! The doors were open, and the weather was perfect. This was going to be a good night!
Game One kicked off into high gear with Round One. In that round we saw Benedict Arnold and James Franco take the River of January to Mars to enjoy some out of this world coffee. In Round Two we made up an Acronym for everything. In Round Three we discovered what everyone's favorite board game growing up was. The guys that said theirs was Pretty Pretty Pony were interesting... Your winners for the game were Guidonian Hands taking a great Second Place prize, while Kinematic Allstars grabbed First!
After taking a short break to announce some great happenings at WOB-SMU it was time to play The Hour of Power! We said goodnight to a couple of teams, welcomed in some new ones, and now it was time to play. In Round One we played some pool, hung out with Captain Marvel, joined the Peace Corp, and played with some Joey Koalas while visiting San Angeles. Round Two was brought to us by the Color Red, and then Round Three was about to get weird. During the round we witnessed Hephaestus helping Noel Coward win the War of 1812, while Senator Bail Organa danced his little Alderaanian heart out to Rebecca Black's "Friday." After the Kitchen Timer Question, and the end of the game, we had a three-way tie. How do you solve such a situation? Ask another Star Wars question of course! Guidonian Hands got pretty close to answering "How many total running time minutes the 6 Star Wars Movies had with their original theatrical releases," taking home Second once again. Kinematic Allstars managed to answer just a little bit closer, giving them a second First Place finish for the night.
There is just a little more time left for League Play, so make sure to bring your "A Game" next week.
