Tuesday night at Cowtown Brewing Co. was everything a trivia fan dreams of—cold beer, great vibes, hot food served up by Cartel Taco Bar, and a brewery absolutely packed with die-hard trivia lovers and curious newcomers alike. Hosted by your favorite, The Angry Irishman, this one-game showdown of PubGuys Trivia brought together eight fierce teams ready to battle across six rounds and a flurry of bonus questions. The competition was tight, the energy electric, and the laughter nonstop. Let’s break down how it all went down.

🎯 Rounds 1–2: Early Jockeying for Position

From the first question, it was clear: this crowd came to play.

“Gavels Gone Wild” set the tone early, landing 5 points in both rounds, establishing themselves as the team to beat. Right on their heels were Hot Tequila and No Folk and Chance, both scoring solid 4s and 5s to stay in the hunt.

Meanwhile, Alpha Kenny 1 and The Great Odini had a slower start, with Odini getting shut out in Round 1 but bouncing back with 2 points in Round 2. Squid Gonzales and Welsher stayed mid-pack with consistent 3s and 4s. The hilariously named Spooning Leads to Forking stayed competitive but sat near the bottom with modest early scores.

By the end of Round 2, Gavels Gone Wild led the pack, but there were still four full rounds of action left—plenty of time for chaos.

🧠 Rounds 3–4: Tightening the Field

Round 3 saw Gavels Gone Wild notch a 6, pulling further ahead, while Hot Tequila matched them point-for-point. But drama unfolded further down the leaderboard—Alpha Kenny 1 made a small surge, while Squid Gonzales and The Great Odini found their groove, each putting up consistent 4s in both rounds.

Round 4 was a turning point for some. Welsher surprised the crowd with a solid 6-point round, their best of the night, climbing the ranks quickly. However, No Folk and Chance and Spooning Leads to Forking started to lag, each scoring only 3s and 4s—just enough to stay in, but not enough to threaten the leaders.

Heading into the final stretch, Gavels Gone Wild remained untouchable, but Hot Tequila wasn’t giving up.

💥 Rounds 5–6 + Bonus Mayhem: The Final Push

As the final two rounds kicked off, the crowd was fully locked in. Gavels Gone Wild exploded with a massive 8-point round in Round 5 and an even bigger 13-point finish in Round 6—a display of trivia dominance.

Hot Tequila kept fighting, landing 6 and 9 points in the last two rounds, trying to close the gap, but couldn’t quite catch the leaders.

The bonus questions added spice, and Gavels Gone Wild tacked on 7 more to solidify their win. The Great Odini picked up 6 bonus points—nearly tripling their early game—but it wasn’t enough to climb the leaderboard.

🏆 Final Standings

  1. 🥇 Gavels Gone Wild – 50 points
Absolute clinic. Smart, fast, and well-rounded—they earned every point.

  2. 🥈 Hot Tequila – 42 points
Strong all night and never backed down. A consistent threat from start to finish.

  3. 🥉 Alpha Kenny 1 – 26 points
They rallied mid-game and edged out the rest of the field.

The rest of the leaderboard saw The Great Odini finish just behind with 23 points, followed by Squid Gonzales (22), Welsher (21), Spooning Leads to Forking (20), and No Folk and Chance also with 20.

🍻 Final Thoughts

It was a night to remember at Cowtown Brewing Co. The house was full, the drinks were flowing, and the trivia was as challenging as ever. The competition? Fierce. The vibes? Impeccable. The fun? Nonstop.
