Well well, that was an interesting night... Interesting in a very good way! The night began with a great challenge for me as a host. Not only was I trying to fill the shoes of a fantastic host, PGGlenn, but I also had to get really creative with how I worked the sound for the evening. Turns out that the wonderful World of Beer in Plano had everything I needed for success, and Chelsey was fantastic in setting me up! I was also excited to meet some new teams, and pleasantly surprised that I had some teams from SMU show up to play the game in Plano! Speaking of the game, let's get this story started.

In Round One of the first game we all made our way up to Quahog to have one of Walt Whitman's world famous asteroid and pastrami sandwiches. (Trademark pending) In Round Two we took our sandwiches to the newest must-visit tourist destination, Trivia ISLAND, where Sir Topham Hatt was ready to make all of our trivia fantasies come true! Round Three had The Breakfast Club circumnavigating globe with Greedo, while The Royal Guardsmen played in the World Series against Peru. After all of the questions had been asked, and pondered over, it was time to see who won. But wait, there's a tie! First Place was very secure, but Second needed to have one more question to settle who got that card. Spitballerz with a Z and Kinley had to tell me how many different animal cracker shapes there are in the Animal Cracker Zoo. Spitballerz with a Z managed to grab that Second Place Finish, and O'Kiefs grabbed First with an impressive lead!

With no time wasted, it was time to dive straight into The Hour of Power. Round One got a little weird when Barbie's sister Skipper joined Steve Martin and a walrus from the North Sea at Studio 54 for a wild night of partying! Round Two had all of our players hoping that their STARS were alined for a strong finish, and Round Three would prove if that would be the case. In the final round Tony Soprano rode a Leather Back Turtle, armed with a Mace, while chasing Karl Malone. It was Firkin crazy! In the end it would be Lines and Circles with the win, and Team Green doing much better than they had thought to grab Second.

I had a great time hosting Plano for a night of PubGuys Trivia. The venue is great, and the crowd was wonderful! I want to give a special shout out to the teams from SMU that joined me in Plano for the evening! You guys made me feel at home! Be sure you are keeping an eye on the PubGuys Facebook page for all of the random facts, and information you will need each week. There are often opportunities to earn extra points mixed into those posts, especially the PubGuys Newsletter, so follow closely! I'll be right back at SMU next week, and PGGlenn will return to take Plano on the fantastic ride we call PubGuys Trivia.

Cheers Everyone!
