Thirteen... The number tends to be a provocative and emotion stimulating number. Some people fear it; some people love it. Some feel it is an unlucky number, while others wear it on their skin as good luck. Of course "Friday 13th" is considered to be a very unlucky, sometimes scary day. It certainly was a bad day for the Knights Templar back in October of 1307, but for PubGuys Trivia it proved a great number last night! The date, 13 April 2016, brought us a night of fun and laughs, and it would be 13 teams that would do battle on the fields of the World of Beer - Plano's main floor.

During these games it really was difficult to tell who was going to take top honors. Every team really brought their A-Game! It's always a good thing when it actually comes down to one correct answer being difference between winning or not. That was the case for Game One ending with Mudda Farg'n Ice Holes finishing with Second, and Steven Hawking's School of Dance jitterbugging their way into First.

This also turned out to be the case in The Hour of Power! Several teams were all tied up throughout the game, and it would be the final bonus question that would be the difference maker. Mudda Farg'n Ice Holes would once again take Second, continuing their tradition of getting at least on prize each evening, and Plowing the North Forty, in a surprise appearance that night, grabbed a hard fought First!

As y'all know by now we are in the midst of League play. If you have not yet registered your team, do so quickly for a chance to get in on the fun! I will warn you, this is no casually approached league. There are some really great teams throughout the PubGuys Nation, and Plano is right up there with them all! Also, May 4th of this year will be a special Star Wars Trivia night! If you didn't hear about it last night, then you weren't paying attention. I barely had to talk about it for all the hype that the staff of World of Beer was giving it. Even questions about the potential questions. HaHa! I think y'all are looking forward to it.
