It's been three weeks now, and Plano is looking better than ever! We have so many regular teams that are very into spreading the word about their excitement at having PubGuys Trivia back! Add to that the awesome new teams, sprinkle in a few inebriated folks, and we have a perfect recipe for a great night of fun, laughter, tasty beverages and challenging trivia. The night got rolling with a good early showing for the Sound Check Question. Then it was time for the full game to commence. Not everyone was interested in playing at first, but that would soon change. A couple of questions in, and nearly everyone wanted an answer-sheet. "This is going to be good!"
In Round One of Game One Neil Armstrong and Tucan Sam traveled to Texas where they would face off against their arch rivals, the Singing Students of McKinley High School, in an all-or-nothing bowling championship. In Round Two PubGuys Trivia DANCED its way into everyone's hearts. In Round Three Ozzie Smith rode his trusty Sphinx to visit all of the countries that are bisected by the International Date Line, while George H. W. Bush and his buddy Hush Puppy became the youngest aviators at the state fair. After all that madness, we had a tie game for First Place. Mudda Farg'n Iceholes would go head-to-head with Just the Tip. After both teams finished quickly, the winner had been decided! Just the Tip would come in just behind the Mudda Farg'n Iceholes for a Second Place Finish, and the Iceholes grabbed First.
On to the Hour of Power! In Round One Poseidon and Hades got a Hall Pass from their godly duties to travel to Oman for a highly secret performance by The Jackson Five at an undisclosed Starbucks. Round Two was all about trivia in the CITY. Finally in Round Three students protested in Luxembourg for three years over J.D. Salinger's Ford Pinto. Why? I have no idea, but there you have it. At the end of the night, Mudda Farg'n Iceholes would take home another First Place Finish, and Sprinkles are for Winners grabbed a hard fought Second.
Before I wrap this up, I have a few links for our new players. Did you know that the Pubguys have a newsletter? Yep, and you can find it here, or you can like us on Facebook to get it right there in your newsfeed. You can also check out our Twitter and Instagram pages for some great news, facts, and pics. This week I'd like you all to try to find one new person to bring to next weeks game, and introduce them for that extra team point.
Let's do this again soon!
