Wow! What a night! For many of you, a bit of a surprise night of trivia. Others of you knew what you were getting yourselves into, or did you? When you do a night with PubGuys Trivia you know that you're going to have some fun, but you are also going to be challenged! The Star Wars Universe offers plenty of both! It was exciting to see some new faces, and also some faces that I've been hoping to see at the games. Even better was continuing to see those teams that are helping make Plano's trivia night a real event.
How bout those games last night? We got Game One started with some pretty easy, "soft ball questions." That was not to last though. Soon I could see sweat pouring down some foreheads, and many furrowed brows. It was kinda the same look that Luke had as he was being tempted towards the Dark Side by Emperor Palpatine. 
Well you guys and gals made it through with only a few scratches, and I'd say a good amount of fun and laughter. At the end of the game there could be only two... teams that is that would win the prizes. President Scroob managed a very strong game throughout and grabbed Second. New Team, The Blazing Sun, brought their Star Wars knowledge to grab themselves a First place finish!
After taking a few minutes to catch our breaths and hand out some costume prizes, (thanks Ryan for dressing up and looking so awesome as a Jedi btw,) we were ready to dig into the Hour of the Dark Side! I was proud of all the teams on this one. They dug their heals in, and stuck with it whether they knew the answers or not. I gotta say that you guys did a great job with the funny answers as well. Thanks for keeping it fun. There was a pretty good running joke throughout the night that ended up with something being worn on my hat, but you had to be there. ;) Let's just say I ended up with a tiny pickle on my hat! After a final question about the 11 different colors the Twi'leks are known to have, we were able to find out who won this thing.
Our winners for the Hour of the Dark Side were I'm Big in 1/4 Inch Scale grabbing Second, and Black Number One grabbed First!
Next week we will be getting back to our regular games, and also continue with the League! It is still in your best interest to keep checking into all of The Pubguys social media offerings! Next week tell me what movie you are most looking forward to seeing in the theater this summer, and why. I need some ideas!
