We returned once again this week to Chuggin' Monk with PubGuys Trivia! This week we had almost 20 players and 6 teams going at it, all for a chance to win a $25 (1st Place) or $10 (2nd Place) gift card to Chuggin' Monk! Why play? you may ask. BECAUSE IT'S FREE! All you need to bring is your thinking cap and a hearty drinking (or eating) appetite! Not only are the drinks affordable, but it is also one of the few places in Arlington still serving food after 10 PM! So far all I see are reasons you should come, but here's what you missed:
Game Summary
Each week we have a few regulars join us, and this week was no different. Among them we had Dude Abides, Mike Hawke (w/ an E), and We Don't Need Chris (previously playing under a different team name last week). Joining us at the end of Round 1 we had Joe, and a team of ladies that never gave me a team name, so I dubbed them Rando Ladies. Wrapping up the group of teams we also had Brandon and Hot Shit, who I had never seen at trivia before! I hope they had a great time!
Throughout the game 1st through 3rd place were trading blows, with Mike Hawke (w/ an E) and We Don't Need Chris really going at it all game. Dude Abides tried his best to take 2nd place but, alas, he could not surmount the eventual tie between the two trivia giants. In the end, after a harrowing bonus question involving guessing the height of Michelanhelo's David, Mike Hawke (w/ and E) rose to the occasion and defeated We Don't Need Chris, taking home the 1st place gift card.
