Ending with a twist, at CBC Southlake Taproom, the answer to the final question was not Oliver Twist. These pages must know that the teams points for this question disappeared just as easily as the Statue of Liberty, but we were looking for the Literary work called David Copperfield, not the magician!
What an amazing crowd we had Monday night! 8 amazing teams competing for 1st and 2nd place for wonderful prizes…GIFT CARDS!! Who does not like free food and beer? Three rounds in we had 5 teams fighting for first place. Friends of Snap had a 2-point lead over The Ya’ll Ternatives with Slash’s Autograph, Dimestore Drinkers and Billy Bad Answers hot on their heels. This came down to the final 2 rounds of the game. We had Friends of Snap in the lead by 1 point over Slash’s Autograph and The Ya’ll Ternatives. Just 1 point out of second we had Dimestore Drinkers and Billy Bad Answers. Only 2 points separated 1st from 3rd. It was still anyone’s game going into the final 2 rounds.
With an amazing 7 points in Round 5 and 6, Slash’s Autograph took the lead and win! What an amazing final 2 rounds. Thanks to an amazing 7 points in round 2 we saw Friends of Slash take 2nd place by just 1 point over the Ya’ll Ternatives. It was an amazing finish to an amazing game
A huge shout out to Darrel, Tim and Ashlyn (the CBC Southlake Taproom crew) for being on top of everything and ensuring all the players and patrons had cold beer and hot food. You all make my life easier!
