...known as CBC Southlake Tap Room. What a great, family friendly night of PubGuys Trivia!
A great night for Trivia at CBC Southlake Tap Room! We had our regulars with Friends of Snap and Cowtown Cuties. We had a visiting team from Arlington, who happened to be in the area, so we welcomed TexCub to our CBC Southlake family. We had some new faces to with Shep, Ignore our Kids, Three is Company too and the Hookers.
They would compete against the bar staff for a winner take all game this night.
It was a great start to the game as Friends of Snap, Cowtown Cuties and Ignore our kids all started fast and furious with 5 points or more. Three is Company too missed most of round 1 but with a quick review they found themselves in 4th place with 4 points. Round 2 was a little rough for Friends of Snap took a tumble with only 3 points in round 2 but they made a great comeback in rounds 3 – 5. Ignore our Kids maintained their level of play each round with at least 5 points per round in the first 4 rounds. Texcub had issues with rounds 3 and 4 as they only gained 3 total points combined in those 2 rounds. Cowtown Cuties took a dip in round 3 but got an amazing 19 points combined in rounds 5 and 6.
Normally the later rounds are tougher on the teams, but tonight our mid-range rounds seemed to be the nemesis. With Cowtown Cuties, Ignore our Kids and Friends of Snap all getting 9 points in round 5, this would come down to the final round. Cowtown Cuties and Ignore our kids took advantage of Friends of Snap in the final round, as Friends of Snap only received 1 total point in the final round. Cowtown Cuties got an amazing 10 points in the final round and Ignore our Kids received 8. It was a great ending to the game with Cowtown Cuties taking the Win by a single point. However, since they are the bar staff, they cannot claim a prize. Tonight, we had a new winner with Ignore our kids who moved to the area from Florida. They were looking for a place to play trivia and we cannot wait to see if they can maintain their winning ways next week!
