…but nothing would keep the PubGuys Trivia teams from coming out and enjoying a fun filled night of Trivia at the CBC Southlake Tap Room!
We welcomed back Okapi, Friends of Snap, and Dimestore Drinkers. We welcomed in some new teams this week with Dalaicia, Miller L and Debbie’s Downers. We welcomed in a visiting team as well this night, we welcomed in Shit Show!
It was a great start to the game as the starting 5 teams were all within 2 points of each other after a fast-paced round 1. Rounds 2 and 3 were the beginning of the end for some teams as Dalacia and Friends of Snap had a tough 2 rounds only netting 4 and 5 points. Dimestore Drinkers, Shit Show and Okapi kept up the fight and Okapi took a 3-point lead. However, we still had 3 rounds and bonus questions to go. This would literally go down to the final round!
Round 6 we had Okapi in the lead by 1 point over Dimestore Drinkers who were tied for second going into the final round. This would be a nail biter of a round. This came down to E Pluribus Unum vs. In God We Trust for 2 points. With Dimestore Drinkers knowing that ‘In God we Trust’ appeared first on the 1864 U.S. 2-cent piece, they took the win! It was a stunning blow over Okapi who finished 2nd, just 1 point behind. Shit Show put up a valiant fight but fell to 3rd place, just 1 point behind Okapi.
It was a great night of Trivia, the clouds parted, and the sun came out. We all enjoyed some good laughs, cold beer, and hot food.
A shout out to the CBC Southlake Tap Room staff, Alicia, and Dakota, for taking care of our Trivia Family last night. As always, you make my job so much easier.
