…the Star Wars fans gathered for a fun filled night of PubGuys, Star Wars themed Trivia! It was a great night with all the Star Wars regalia being worn by the teams. It made my inner nerd proud!
As the teams sat down, gathered their thoughts, and prepared for a major confrontation of epic proportions!
Round 1 we saw 3 teams get off to an interstellar start getting 6 points. Friends of Snap, Tatooine Trio and Fett Up with it showed up to play. Dimestore Drinkers and Mos Def Eisley started a little slower but were still well in the running. We welcomed in Rogue Squadron in round 3. Round 3 is normally a difficult round but apparently it was not so hard as ALL teams got a stunning 8 points. What a way to play catch up if you were behind.
Midway through the game we had a very close game. Friends of Snap were tied with Tatooine Trio for 1st place with Fett up with it just 1 point behind those 2. This would come down to the final 3 rounds and I knew I had to throw in some bonus questions. Round 4 we saw Friends of Snap move ahead as they netted 8 more points while the competition faltered, taking a blaster shot, and only netted 5 points. However, round 5 we saw the gap lessen as Tatooine Trio, Fett Up with it, Mos Def Eisley and Dimestore Drinkers channeled their inner force, and all got an amazing 9 points. With 1 round to go it was still any teams game!
With the need for some bonus questions, how can you not ask who the large and in charge Gungan leader was? I could not stump these fans as they all knew Boss Nass was the crazy leader of the Gungan’s on Naboo. Fett up with it did an amazing impersonation of Boss Nass, so hey, why not give them a bonus point. We also tried to stump the teams with what was Carrie Fishers first movie, prior to Star Wars. This one stumped all but 2 teams – we were looking for the 1975 movie Shampoo. With these bonus questions we saw some separation in the game but round 6 would still define the winners.
Tatooine Trio did their best to overcome their 1-point deficit and take the lead, or tie, Friends of Snap, but it was not to be tonight. Fett up with it, Dimestore Drinkers and Mos Def Eisley did their best to find their way into 2nd place but fell short. It was an amazing night of laughs, impersonations, and crazy questions. I hope you all had as much fun as I did!
