For the 4th of July, I was impressed that so many people came out to play trivia. I know that traditionally we have started at 7 pm or later. I decided we would start at 6:30 so that people could be done in time to enjoy fireworks. Only one team arrived around 6:40 and we quickly caught them up in the first round. By the way, let me know what starting time you prefer. Emails and bar signs say 6:30 pm whereas the website says 7 pm. We'll get this straightened out.

We had five teams. The leaderboard was crowded the first few rounds before Okapi started separating themselves. They knew their Richard Nixon and Lucille Ball trivia. Cowtown Cuties battled all night and ended up in third place. Team Upstairs didn't win but had perhaps the funniest missed answers. Queen B and E=MC Hammer also battled hard and the distance between second and fourth was only two points. The winners, again, were Okapi. Congratulations!

I will be away for the next five weeks. My timing is terrible because I am starting to really enjoy hosting. I hope to see many of you again soon.

Dan
