…or DEEFCON 2.  This was a crazy night, crazy game and whacky ending with all hands at the ready for an attack by another team.

2 rounds in and we saw our new team, Desperados, take a commanding 5-point lead over the regulars, Okapi.  They were also showing Friends of Snap that they came to play and meant business.  Almost empty nester had a rough round 1 but then began to find their stride going into the later rounds.  You’re never drinking alone when you’re pregnant were in the mix too but still 6 points out of first.  This was a strong start to the game!

With 3 strong, middle rounds, Okapi showed why they are a powerhouse team.  Taking 6,8,6 points in rounds 3 – 5, they narrowed the gap between them and Desperados to 2 points.  These 2 teams were juggernauts tonight and were taking no prisoners.  This would come down to the end.  Friends of Snap and Empty nesters were hanging tight and fighting for 3^rd tonight.  You’re never Drinking Alone…were in the mix but had a rough patch in rounds 4 and 5.

Here we go, the final round.  This is for the W!  2 points down, 1 bonus question down, how would Okapi fare?  Let’s start with the loveable Friends of Snap, who go an amazing 8 points in round and both bonus questions, solidifying their 3^rd place spot over Almost Empty Nesters.  Okapi needed to gain 2 points for a tie and 3 for a win.  Desperados just needed to match them in score to keep the 2-point lead and the W.  One team would get 5 points the other 8 points.  Go figure, another game at Cowtown, another TIE!  Okapi came back from a 5-point deficit to tie Desperados at an amazing 35 points.  Talk about a crazy ending!

Our tie breaker question was: “The Earth is tilted on it's axis thus causing the seasons. At what degree is the Earth tilted?”  Congrats to OKAPI on getting the closest to 23.5 degrees.
