What a great Thursday night as we cheered on the Cowboys (or yelled at them for a terrible defensive showing) and got our Trivia on! Yes, we had the volume on to the game.

Game 1:
While Okapi took the night off, I was surprised by a familiar team that had moved away but have now found me at Keyworth! Welcome back The Yanks and the Redcoat!
As we cheered on, or yelled at, the Cowboys game, we got our Trivia on! Yes, we had the volume to the game on so we could play Trivia and watch the game! With 2 rounds in, Cow Bells had a solid 2-point lead over The Cheer Moms and Beer is Life. With 8 points each, The Yanks and the Redcoat and Blank Street Boys were sitting within striking distance but would need a good round 3 to take over 1st or 2nd place.
With 5 points, we saw JJ Mistletoe try to make a move, but it was just to late in the game as they finished in 5th place. Beer is Life had a tough round 3 and with their 2 points, they saw their chances fade away as they took 4th place. With 4 points in round 3 and 2 bonus points, The Yanks and The Redcoat shocked The Cheer Moms and Cow Bells as they catapulted into 1st place by 1 point! Tied at 14 points, The Cheer Moms and Cow Bells found out how stressful the tie breaker question can be. 1 player, 1 question, 10s to turn it in…OMG they were so close. With a guess of 68 and a guess of 80, Cow Bells had to take the lonely walk back to their table as The Cheer Moms took 2nd place by being 5 points off the correct answer of 75! What a great ending to game 1. Would the Cowboys game end well? We would watch as we began game 2!

Game 2:
2 rounds in and this was going to be a close game as we had 4 teams tied for 1st, sitting at 10 points. Everyone would need to be on their toes going into round 3! Beer is Life, The Cheer Moms, Cow Bells and The Yanks and the Redcoat were in the groove, and they were trying to break the streak of the same teams winning both games. I had to throw out some bonus questions to try and avoid a tie. I was hoping it would not bite me in the A$$ like it normally does!
While The Cheer Moms and The Yanks and the Redcoat got 1 of my bonus questions, with just 2 points for round 3, they found themselves out of 1st or 2nd place as they tied for 3rd place. Blank Street Boys, Ramma-lama-jamma, and B’s Knees rounded out our top 5 teams as they all tied for 5th place. With 3 points in round 3 and a bonus point, Cow Bells thought they had the win in sight! However, Beer is Life got 3 of a kind, as he had 5 points in each round and by 1 point, sitting at 15, he edged out Cow Bells to take the win! We would not have a repeat winner tonight!
