...an incredible raffle! We kicked off our inaugural trivia night at Keyworth Brewing Co., in NRH, this night. The owners decided to make it a memorable night. During the game we raffled off: 2 Keyworth Tumblers and an Echo Dot. After the games ended, we raffled off a 40” TV! Welcome to the PubGuys family Keyworth!
Game 1:
As the teams got settled after grabbing a beer and answer sheets, I rolled off the rules and the games began! Including the Rangers game, as we had the TVs on the game, and we had the volume on as well.
New venue, new teams but not new to me on how this game ended. We had MIPA start off hot with a great round 2 as they saw themselves 2 points in the lead over DUI of the Tiger and Your website suxs. Pinecone and Cobra Boyz were also chomping at the bit to take the win! After round 2 ended we took a small break to raffle off the 1st tumbler to 1 lucky winner.
With round 3 to go, would MIPA hold on or would Cobra Boyz strike fast with no mercy or would DUI of the Tiger channel their inner Balboa and get the TKO? With 4 points in round 3, MIPA felt the power of DUI of the Tiger as they took a hook to the chin. DUI of the Tiger took 5 points and suddenly, they saw themselves eye-to-eye with MIPA and we had a TIE on our first night of Trivia. Your Website Sux, Cobra Boyz and Pinecone all fought hard to stay in the fight, but they just missed out (by 1 or 2 points) of being in the tie for 1st. The teams were introduced to the fun of a tie breaker and as they sent up the sacrificial lamb, I found them a question to answer. 1 question, 1 answer, 10s to provide me their answer. With an amazing guess, DUI of the Tiger got the judges decision and the win. MIPA put a bag of ice on their jaw as they walked back to their table wondering what had hit them as they took 2nd place. How would game 2 go?

Game 2:
Before the game begins, we raffled off the 2nd Keyworth Tumbler to another lucky player. While the teams were watching the Rangers fall apart, they were hoping to end with the W in Trivia.
DUI of the Tiger wanted to maintain their heavyweight championship, but Cobra Boyz, with their quick jab, were giving them a fight as they were only 1 point behind. Your website suxs was doing a code review and rebuild and they were in the mix 2, just 1 point out of 1st place. The Cheer Moms were cheering their way to the top sitting 2 points out of 1st place.
After we raffled off the Echo Dot, ding-ding went the bell and round 3 was on! Lucky number 5 was the magic number as 4 of the top teams received 5 points in round 3. DUI of the Tiger would not accept defeat though as they took 8 points and the win as Cobra Boyz and Your Website Suxs took a 1-point lead over The Cheer Moms and left us with a tie for 2nd place! What a great start to the night, 2 ties! Again, the sacrificial lamb was sent up and they new the rules. 1 question, 1 answer, 10s and no mercy! With the answers in we had our 2nd place winners!
