If you thought Thursdays were the only time to catch the fiercest minds in Fort Worth flexing their trivia muscles, think again. This past Saturday, Keyworth Brewing Co. hosted a special edition of Trivia Night, and the energy was electric. With cold beers flowing, fierce team rivalries bubbling, and bonus rounds that kept everyone on edge, the taproom turned into a battleground of brains.
From the first question to the final bonus, six teams locked horns for two hours of high-stakes trivia action. Each round pushed players out of their comfort zones—covering everything from pop culture to obscure historical events—and reminded us why trivia at Keyworth is more than a game; it's a full-blown community event.
Let’s meet the gladiators who stepped into the trivia arena:
Killer Rabbit – a returning powerhouse with a reputation for sneaky comebacks.
Rah Rah Rah Meroca – newcomers with surprising team chemistry and plenty of flair.
Mad Catter – cool, calm, and calculated with a knack for round-by-round consistency.
Da Boyz – the underdog crew with heart and humor to spare.
Brew Krew – seasoned regulars who know their beer and their facts.
Pivot – Friends-themed name? Check. Obscure knowledge? Double check.
Round 1 got off to a cautious start, with no team scoring more than six points. Killer Rabbit and Rah Rah Rah Meroca both started strong with six, setting the tone early. Mad Catter and Da Boyz trailed closely with five points apiece.
Round 2 was where Killer Rabbit began to pull ahead, notching an impressive 8 points—the highest round score of the first half. Pivot and Brew Krew tried to keep pace but struggled to gain traction.
Round 3 was a low-scoring stumper. Trivia titan or not, the questions in this round had even the veterans scratching their heads. Still, Killer Rabbit maintained the edge, while Rah Rah Rah Meroca stayed within reach.
Round 4 offered redemption for some, especially Mad Catter, who picked up steam with 4 points. But others stumbled. Da Boyz and Brew Krew gave valiant efforts but couldn’t make the leap.
Round 5 was one of the night's more challenging sets, but Rah Rah Rah Meroca showed some grit, scoring 4 to keep pressure on the leaders. Killer Rabbit, however, stumbled, only managing a single point—a brief moment of vulnerability.
But the game-changer came in Round 6, where Killer Rabbit unleashed a show-stopping performance, racking up 11 points—the biggest single-round score of the night. With that move, they reasserted dominance and built a buffer heading into the bonus round.
With everything riding on the final bonus, most teams knew this was their last shot. Killer Rabbit added 4 more points to their total, landing at 36 points and sealing their victory. Rah Rah Rah Meroca gave a valiant final push with 3 bonus points, ending at 33, just a whisker away. Mad Catter, Da Boyz, Brew Krew, and Pivot all fought to the end but couldn’t quite climb the leaderboard.
