Thursday night at Keyworth Brewing Co. was nothing short of electric as PubGuys Trivia took over the brewery for two action-packed games! The taproom was packed wall to wall with teams eager to test their knowledge while enjoying cold craft beer and delicious bites. The competition was fierce, the laughter was nonstop, and the energy never let up from start to finish.

Game One Recap

The first game kicked off with a strong start across the board. After Round One, Killer Rabbits and The Newbies led the pack, each showing they came to play. As we rolled into Round Two, the game started to separate the contenders from the field. Killer Rabbits held steady with back-to-back sevens, while The Newbies slipped with a tough round. Meanwhile, Cowtown and The Cliff Clavens were quietly climbing up the standings with solid mid-round scores.

The intensity peaked in Round Three, with The Newbies roaring back with a huge score of 8 points, but it wasn’t enough to catch Killer Rabbits. Cowtown and The Cliff Clavens both finished tied at 13, while Hand Solo, TOT Teachers on Top, and 2 and a Half Men finished just a point behind them. When the dust settled, the standings looked like this:

  • 🥇 1st Place: Killer Rabbits – 20 points – $25 Gift Card

  • 🥈 2nd Place: The Newbies – 17 points – $15 Gift Card

  • 🥉 3rd Place: Cowtown & The Cliff Clavens (tied) – 13 points – Bragging Rights

Killer Rabbits proved unstoppable in the opener, but it was clear the rest of the field wasn’t going down without a fight.

Game Two Recap

With fresh drinks poured and spirits high, the second game began with a brand-new energy. The Kiwis and Teachers on Tap came out swinging in Round One, surprising the crowd with early leads. But as the game shifted into Round Two, The Newbies showed why they’re always dangerous, dominating with an 8-point round to surge into first place. Cowtown and The Cliff Clavens also put together strong scores to keep themselves within striking distance.

By Round Three, the game was shaping up to be a battle for second place. The Newbies stayed hot, locking in another solid 6 points and padding their lead. Cowtown and Beach Bound fought tooth and nail, while Hand Solo, Killer Rabbits, Teachers on Tap, and Stephen Hawkings School of Dance all ended locked in a massive tie at 14 points. The brewery was buzzing as answer sheets flew in and the bonus questions kept everyone guessing.

When the scores were finalized, the top of the leaderboard stood like this:

  • 🥇 1st Place: The Newbies – 24 points – $25 Gift Card

  • 🥈 2nd Place: Cowtown – 16 points – $15 Gift Card

  • 🥉 3rd Place: The Cliff Clavens & Beach Bound (tied) – 15 points – Bragging Rights
