With the taproom packed wall-to-wall and the sound of laughter and cheers echoing throughout, PubGuys Trivia brought the house down with two competitive, high-energy games. As the trivia host, it's always a treat to see such an enthusiastic and engaged crowd, and this week was no exception. From clever team names to nail-biting finishes, the night had everything a trivia lover could ask for.
Game 1: A Tight Battle to the Finish
The first game of the night kicked off with a full house of 15 teams, each bringing their A-game. "The Terminators" lived up to their name, dominating the board with consistent scores across all three rounds and a strong bonus performance, ending with a solid 22 points to take the top spot. Hot on their heels were two teams tied for second place at 21 points: "Thought this was Bingo, we brought the wrong pen" and "Killer Rabbit." The latter had a particularly impressive Round 2, scoring 7 points.
The middle of the pack was equally fierce, with four teams—"Schoolbus #68," "An Empty Glass," "Animal Party," and "Day Drinkers"—all finishing with 19 points. These teams kept the pressure on all night and were just a point or two away from the winners. The competitive spirit was alive and well, but so was the camaraderie and humor. It’s not every day you see a team named "Leak Hegseth and the Case of Missing Beer" (they finished with 14 points but won the crowd’s hearts for creativity alone).
Game 2: Redemption for the Day Drinkers
After a quick break and a fresh pour of Keyworth's latest brews, we dove into Game 2. With momentum on their side, "Day Drinkers" rallied hard and climbed from a four-way tie in Game 1 to a definitive first-place win with 20 points. Their 9-point performance in Round 2 made all the difference. "Killer Rabbit" remained consistent and took second place once again, putting up a whopping 11 points in Round 3.
A tight cluster of four teams—"Dragon Mastersss," "Schoolbus #68," "EeeBees," "The Terminators," and "Crafty"—all ended tied for third with 16 points. It was an intense finish and a true showcase of how one round can flip the leaderboard. Even returning teams like "An Empty Glass" and "Animal Party" stayed strong, while newer or creatively named teams like "Ass Sphincter says what" and "Pivot all Day" kept spirits high regardless of the scoreboard.
