Another Thursday night at Keyworth Brewing Co. meant another electric evening of brainpower, brews, and booming laughter. With the taproom packed to the rafters and the good vibes flowing like the latest IPA on draft, trivia regulars and first-timers alike showed up in full force for two competitive and wildly entertaining games of PubGuys Trivia.
The crowd? Absolutely amazing. The energy? Through the roof. The competition? Fierce but friendly—just the way we like it. From clever team names to clutch bonus answers, this was a night to remember.
Game 1 brought out the trivia titans, and after a tight three rounds and bonus questions, Club Shay Shay edged out the win with a well-earned 19 points, thanks to a consistent performance across the board and a critical bonus point. Right behind them was Teenjus, scoring 18 points, riding a strong bonus game that almost pushed them over the top.
The Winners by Default (ironically not just by default this time) came in third with 17 points, showing a strong grasp of general knowledge. We also had a three-way tie at 4th with Killer Rabbit, Buzz Lightbeer, and Crafty—all scoring 16 points and proving just how neck-and-neck this contest can get.
Special shoutout to Did You Know? We Don’t Know for having one of the best team names and managing a respectable 13 points. As always, The Flurbs and Garfield’s Fan Club brought big smiles and great energy, even if the scoreboard wasn’t in their favor.
After a short break and beer refill, the teams regrouped for Game 2—and the competition only got tougher.
This time, Crafty came back with a vengeance, dominating the early rounds and securing the top spot with 20 points, the highest score of the night. Their strong start in Rounds 1 and 2 set them up perfectly for the win.
Club Shay Shay stayed consistent, putting up another top-tier performance and landing second with 17 points, while Honey Badgers came alive in Round 3 and bonus time to slide into third with 16 points.
It was also great to see Brew Krew bounce back after a rough first game, scoring 11 in Game 2—redemption never tasted so good. Newcomers The Lor Lizards and Dirty Matt and the Cuays made their trivia debut, and we’re hoping to see them back next week for more.
