If you missed Trivia Night at Keyworth Brewing Co. this Thursday, you missed one of the most competitive and high-energy nights we've ever had. The brewery was packed, the beer was flowing, and the crowd brought their A-game for two intense games of PubGuys Trivia hosted by yours truly, The Angry Irishman. With the stakes high—$25 and $15 gift cards for the top two teams and eternal glory for the third—every team brought the heat. Let’s break down how it all went down.
Game 1: Fast Starts & Fierce Finishes
From the jump, Hot Mess Express lived up to their name, starting strong with a 7-point first round and never letting go of the lead. Their 9-point second round kept them ahead of the pack, and they sealed the win with a consistent 7 in Round 3, plus 2 bonus points for a total of 25 points and 1st Place!
But it wasn’t a walkover—Beer Necessities and Killer Rabbits kept the pressure on, both climbing to 22 points with identical bonus scores. With second place on the line and only one prize left to claim, it came down to a ten-second tiebreaker! In the end, Beer Necessities edged out the Rabbits for 2nd Place and the $15 prize.
The middle of the pack was crowded with Crafty, Suds and Buds, and Okapi all finishing tied at 18 points, followed closely by Ebola… Don’t Touch Your Friends with 17. The competition was tight from top to bottom—exactly how we like it.

Game 2: Redemption & Rise Ups
Game 2 saw a complete shake-up in the leaderboard. Crafty, who tied for 4th in Game 1, made a big leap and held steady across all three rounds to lock in 16 points and claim 1st Place. Their consistent performance and smart strategy paid off!
Second place, however, was a 3-way tie between Blue Tailed Hawks, Okapi, and Los Gringos, all finishing with 15 points. After a sudden-death tiebreaker, it was the Blue Tailed Hawks who came out on top to grab 2nd Place, leaving Okapi and Gringos with hard-earned bragging rights.
Several Game 1 powerhouses slipped a bit in Game 2—Hot Mess Express, Beer Necessities, Killer Rabbits, and Ebola… Don’t Touch Your Friends all finished just one point shy of the leaders with 14. Talk about a nail-biter!

Final Thoughts:
Thursday night at Keyworth Brewing Co. was everything you could ask for in a trivia showdown—great energy, tight scores, and tons of laughs. The room was packed with returning champs, new contenders, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines. With two games, six rounds total, and bonus twists thrown in, the fun truly never stopped.
The competition is always tough, but the vibes are always better.
