Thursday night at Keyworth Brewing Co. was pure controlled chaos in the best way—wall-to-wall tables, booming laughs, and that electric “we might actually win this” energy in the air. PubGuys Trivia rolled out one epic game across six rounds, with random bonus questions dropping like curveballs all night long. The crowd was amazing, the brewery was packed, and every team came ready to swing for the fences.
The night opened with strong statements from a few squads. The Mutts came out hot with 6, while Kevin is a POS, Beer Pressure, and Densa all posted 4s to stay close. 3 Brits & 1 NY started steady at 4, clearly settling in for the long game.
By the end of Round 2, the leaderboard tightened up—and we had our first real shift at the top. Beer Pressure surged into the lead with a solid first-half showing (10 after two rounds), while The Mutts and Kevin is a POS sat right behind, ready to pounce. This was the moment where the room felt it: no runaway winner tonight—just a pack of teams clawing for inches.
Round 3 flipped the script. The Mutts dropped a monster 8-point round and jumped into first, while Beer Pressure and Kevin is a POS stayed in the hunt but couldn’t match that burst. Bonus questions kept popping up too—those little side-quests that can turn a “good round” into a “game-changing round” if you’re brave (or lucky) enough.
Round 4 kept things razor-close. Beer Pressure answered back with a strong round, nearly pulling even, and Densa made noise with a big score of their own. At Keyworth Brewing Co., this is the stretch where you could hear pens scratching, teammates whisper-yelling, and someone at every table confidently saying something wildly incorrect.
Then came the twist: 3 Brits & 1 NY landed a huge Round 5 (9 points) and stole the lead heading into the final round. Suddenly it was their game to lose—The Mutts were close, but now they needed a finishing kick.
The final round delivered. The Mutts slammed down another 8 and surged back on top, edging out 3 Brits & 1 NY in a tight finish. No tie in the top two meant no tie-breaker tonight—but it was close enough to feel like one.
Top 3 teams:
1st – The Mutts (35)
2nd – 3 Brits & 1 NY (33)
3rd – Kevin is a POS (29)
Another packed, loud, hilarious night at Keyworth Brewing Co.—the competition is always tough, the brewery is packed, and I’ll see you next Thursday!
